On Being a VIP
So, we went to see a band I'd never before heard of this weekend: Super Diamond. A local politician thanked Mr. H with tickets, so I tagged along. According to their website, Super Diamond has been playing Neil Diamond songs since 1993. Huh. Neil Diamond. What did he sing? What didn't he sing, is more like it! Yes, "Sweet Caroline," "America," "Love on the Rocks." I liked this band. They were fun. But, you know, I think one needed to be with the masses to really feel the music. The VIP section was in the balcony house right. But it wasn't right. One shouldn't look down on stars such as Super Diamond, one should look up at them, on the stage, where one can be more in line with their massive energy. Then, again, who were these audience members who were so into Neil? They must be older than me...yeah, maybe the balcony was for the best...
Anyway, Super Diamond, I'll see you around; and until then...maybe consider modifying your name: how about Supa Diamond? Just a thought.
